Saginaw Township bowling alley sells winning lotto ticket

An employee at a local electrical contracting company and happy-hour regular holds a $250,000 winning lottery ticket, says Rick LaRue, general manager of Stardust Lanes bowling alley in Saginaw Township.

The business sold one of three winning $250,000 Mega Millions lottery ticket, the Michigan Lottery Web site says.

LaRue said the regular at the alley bar bought the ticket during happy hour. The alley received $15,000 for selling the winner, he said.

The ticket from Stardust Lanes, 3750 Bay in Saginaw Township, matched five numbers in the Oct. 16 drawing.

The grand prize ticket holder, winning an estimated $200 million, bought a ticket in Shenandoah, Va. and matched all five white balls and the “mega ball.”

Two other players from West Branch and Portage won $250,000 each. The next scheduled drawing worth $20 million and is scheduled for Oct. 20, according to the state Web site.
